Panels from Corrugated Industries, Chalmette
Our metal panels are roll-formed by Corrugated Industries on Paris Road in Chalmette, a family company that has made metal roofing in St. Bernard Parish since the 1950s and holds the original patent on its roll-forming machine. Panels are cut to the exact length of your roof, so there are no horizontal seams.
Our foreman David Nguyen has more than 15 years in sheet metal and metal roofing and leads every standing seam install, including the custom flashing, ridge caps and trim that make a metal roof last.
Why metal in New Orleans

Metal roofing questions
How much more does a metal roof cost than shingles?
Usually about one and a half to two times a shingle roof, depending on the panel. Standing seam costs more than R-panel. The itemized estimate shows both if you want to compare.
Is a metal roof loud in the rain?
Not over a solid deck with underlayment, which is how we install it. Open-frame barns are loud; houses are not.
Can you put metal over my old shingles?
Sometimes, over one layer, but we usually recommend a tear-off so we can check the decking and flashing.
What is oil canning?
A slight waviness in flat areas of metal panels, visible in some light. It is cosmetic, not a defect. Stiffening ribs on standing seam reduce it.
